Introducing the Vues blog
Why we're starting a blog, and what brands and creators can expect from it — product deep-dives, creator playbooks, and the data behind paying per view.
We build Vues in the open — shipping fast, talking to creators and brands every day, and learning a lot about what it actually takes to pay people fairly for attention. Until now, almost none of that has made it off our internal docs and Discord threads. This blog is where it starts to.
Why a blog, and why now
The creator economy is full of dashboards and short on explanations. Plenty of platforms will show you a number; very few will tell you how that number was calculated, why a payout looks the way it does, or what happens to your earnings when a campaign ends. We think that opacity is a choice — and not a good one.
So we're going to write about the things we'd want explained if we were on the other side of the screen:
- How the product works under the hood — CPM math, view tracking, caps, freezes, and the verification that keeps payouts honest.
- Creator playbooks — practical guides for finding campaigns, picking the right clips, and maximizing what you earn per view.
- What we're building — product updates, the reasoning behind them, and the occasional look at a decision we got wrong and had to walk back.
Who this is for
If you're a creator, expect concrete, no-fluff guidance you can act on the same day. If you're a brand, expect a clearer view into how your spend turns into real, verified views — and how we protect that spend from fraud.
Our north star is simple: every dollar that moves through Vues should be one both sides can explain. The blog is part of how we hold ourselves to that.
What's next
The first real deep-dive is already up: a plain-English walkthrough of how CPM payouts actually work — from the moment a clip is tracked to the Friday it pays out.
More to come. If there's something you want us to explain, we're listening.
